Lightning Profile

We are named after the former Mariposa Township, which became part of the City of Kawartha Lakes after amalgamation. Our centre consists of 2 arenas in the towns of Little Britain and Oakwood. We are located approximately 10 minutes west of Lindsay, Ontario. We are an OMHA "C" centre.

Formed in 1993 by the merger of two smaller centres, Little Britain and Oakwood, our OMHA teams play in the Victoria Durham league. Our local league teams play in the 3-County league.

We have enjoyed moderate success throughout the years. The following teams have captured their respective OMHA championships:

1996-1997 OMHA Novice "DD" Eastern Ontario Champions

2004-2005 OMHA Midget "DD" Champions

2005-2006 OMHA Novice "DD" Eastern Ontario Champions

2006-2007 OMHA Novice "DD" Eastern Ontario Champions

2007-2008 OMHA Novice "C" East-Central Ontario Champions

2007-2008 OMHA Atom "C" Champions

2007-2008 OMHA Peewee AE Group 4 Champions

2008-2009 OMHA Peewee AE Group 4 Champions

2008-2009 OMHA Peewee "C" Champions

On top of our championship titles, we have had numerous teams advance to the OMHA finals.
